"Insurance premiums for wineries have gone up substantially in recent years. I met Long Tran and Joe Lopez with Fermenters Insurance about the time my previous insurance was about to expire. My previous broker had done a search for a lower rate through their portfolio of insurers, but didn't come up with anything new. I jumped on a call with Long & Joe, felt comfortable, and decided to give Fermenters Insurance a try. To my great surprise, Long found gaps in coverage, beat the rate from my previous insurer by 10%, and with a higher rated insurer. I then sent my Workers' Comp policy to Long for review, and he noted numerous items that the previous broker had mislabeled in the policy. In fact the previous broker also mis-categorized some of my employees, causing my Workers' Comp rate to double! Long immediately noticed this problem and we're now in the process of getting a refund and disputing the audit.
